SEEKING: Actor/Musician
ELVIS (20s, Male Identifying) singer/guitar player. Elvis in his 20s at the beginning of his career. In the production, Elvis sings: “Memories Are Made Of This”, “That’s All Right”, “Long Tall Sally”, “Peace In The Valley”, “Party” and “Hound Dog”. Must be familiar with his music; should sound and look somewhat like Elvis without being an “impersonator”. Actors who are able to play guitar are encouraged to submit.
SWING TO COVER:
JERRY LEE LEWIS AND SAM PHILLIPS
Jerry Lee Lewis- (20s Male Identifying) singer/pianist; he was rock & roll’s legendary piano prodigy and celebrated “Last Man Standing.” Fun; energetic. In the production, Jerry Lee Lewis sings: “Real Wild Child”, “Great Balls Of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On”. Actors with comedic skills who are superb piano players and able to play like Jerry Lee Lewis are encouraged to submit. SAM PHILLIPS (Mid-30s-40s, Male Identifying) “Father of Rock’n’Roll” and founder of Sun Records who discovered Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and many others including Roy Orbison and B.B. King; a towering and charismatic figure in American music.
Contract Details:
-Rehearsals Begin October 29th, Opening Night November 20th, Closing Performance January 11th, 2026
-Compensation and Contract Details: Contract total: $6,125.
*Breakdown of above total Pay: Performance pay $100 per show at 48 total shows, $650 for rehearsal pay and $675 for out of town stipend. Additional $400 one time only pay for swing performer track (not included in the total calculation). Travel stipend and housing provided for out of state performers. Performers must have their own vehicle for transportation around town. The Candlelight is a dinner theater and therefore additional compensation opportunities are available for those willing to wait on tables during dinner service. Several of our performers partake in this opportunity.
To submit: Video of 2 songs in the style of the show playing and singing in Jerry lee Lewis style or Elvis style. Please include: a 1 minute monologue in style of the show, a headshot, and resume.
