Shakespeare Theatre Company, in Washington DC, is currently seeking a Development Coordinator who is looking to begin their Arts Administration or Development career. If you have skills in finding efficiencies, keeping current on industry best practices and using data to back ambitious ideas and endeavors, this position will be a great fit. Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, this role will spend their time promptly and accurately managing basic data entry, donor acknowledgements, and financial tracking. Maintaining database integrity is critical to treating our donors well and running donor data and gift reports. In addition, this position will offer administrative support to frontline fundraisers, including prospecting and list pulls, scheduling, and event support. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $45,000 - $50,000.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of training or professional experience, or a bachelor’s degree in arts, arts management, or business, as well as proficiency with Microsoft. The ideal candidate can handle multiple projects at once, giving each the attention to detail needed to find success, has a congenial disposition and love of theatre, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with CRM experience, especially Tessitura, preferred. This is a hybrid position, with at least three days onsite required. Some evenings and weekends required for event support.
