DESCRIPTION

SEEKING ACTORS FOR COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY MFA DIRECTORS' SHAKESPEARE PROJECTS

The MFA Directing Shakespeare projects are 90-minute editions of Shakespeare’s plays presented by the third-year directors in a rehearsal studio with minimal technical elements. We are seeking actors adept with text for these stripped-down productions! The projects are supervised by Brian Kulick and Scott Whitehurst, and will be attended by the Columbia community, including members of its esteemed faculty. All roles are unpaid.

For your submission, please prepare one Shakespeare monologue or two short contrasting Shakespeare monologues, totaling under three minutes in length. A monologue in verse is preferred but not mandatory. You will attach your audition, as a video link, to a Google Form. Submissions must be received by Monday, October 7th at 12:00 noon.

Project details, in chronological order, follow.
