Al Blackstone directs and choreographs the classic musical at the Maine venue.

The Ogunquit Playhouse production of Guys and Dolls is currently running at the Maine venue through July 19 with direction and choreography by Al Blackstone. Watch Tony nominee Rob McClure (Mrs. Doubtfire), who plays Nathan Detroit, and Bianca Marroquín (Chicago), cast as Miss Adelaide, duet on "Sue Me" in the video above.

The production also features María Bilbao (Sweeney Todd) as Sarah Brown, Mykal Kilgore (The Wiz) as Nicely Nicely Johnson, and Tony nominee Ephraim Sykes (Ain’t Too Proud) as Sky Masterson.

They are joined by Lenny Venito as Big Julie, Ronnie S. Bowman Jr. (The Music Man) as Harry the Horse, Josh Davis (Beautiful The Carole King Musical) as Lt. Brannigan, Heather Parcells (A Chorus Line) as General Cartwright, Barrett Riggins as Benny Southstreet, and J.D. Webster as Arvide Abernathy (Ragtime).

The ensemble includes Derek Ege, Rosie Granito, Candice Hatakeyama, Dakota Hoar, Melissa J. Hunt, Michael P. Korner, Justin López, Victoria Mesa, Karmen Moore, Khi’Shawn A’Quez Robinson, and Michael Santomassimo.

McClure’s final performance will be July 13; Riggins will perform the role of Nathan Detroit for the final week of performances, July 15–19. Casting is by ARC's Mark Brandon and Jarrett Reiche.

Based on The Idyll of Sarah Brown and characters by Damon Runyon, Guys and Dolls features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. Songs include “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” “A Bushel and a Peck,” and “Luck Be a Lady,” among others.

The original Broadway production opened at the 46th Street Theatre in November 1950, running 1,200 performances before closing November 28, 1953. Among the premiere cast were Robert Alda as Sky Masterson, Isabel Bigley as Sarah Brown, Sam Levene as Nathan Detroit, and Vivian Blaine as Miss Adelaide. Blaine re-created her role for the 1955 film, which also starred Marlon Brando as Sky Masterson, Jean Simmons as Sarah Brown, and Frank Sinatra as Nathan Detroit. The original production won five 1951 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The production also features music direction by Nick Wilders, scenic design by Adam Koch, original Broadway costumes by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Richard Latta, sound design by Kevin Heard, video/projection design by Steven Royal, and wig/hair and make-up design by Roxanne De Luna.

Daniel Everett is the production stage manager, and Miriam Rochford and Olivia Tymon are the assistant stage managers.
