Tony winner Leslie Odom, Jr., who created the role of Aaron Burr in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Hamilton, appears on the February 22 broadcast of PBS' Finding Your Roots

In the exclusive clip below, Odom Jr. discusses the impact of Hamilton and its colorblind casting. He says that while playing Burr, he wanted to be as "beautiful and flawed, and brash and bold, and brilliant" as the people he knows in real life, and those who raised him.

This episode of the PBS series also spotlights three-time Tony winner Nathan Lane (Angels in America). The two Tony winners meet with host Henry Louis Gates Jr. to learn more about their backgrounds and ancestors.

The PBS series is now in its eighth season. Other guests featured in season eight include Kathryn Hahn (Disney+'s WandaVision), Regina King (Netflix's The Harder They Fall), and Tony Danza (A View From the Bridge).

New episodes of Finding Your Roots premiere Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on PBS.
