Renée Elise Goldsberry—who will join 2025 Tony nominee Darren Criss to co-host The Tony Awards: Act One, the live pre-show preceding the 78th Annual Tony Awards June 8—appeared on NBC's Today June 4 to celebrate her debut solo recording.
Goldsberry, who won a Tony for her performance as Angelica Schuyler in the Broadway hit Hamilton, performed her original song "Staring" from her album Who I Really Am, which releases June 6. Watch her performance of the song, which she wrote for her husband, in the video below.

Goldsberry will bring her live show to Portland, Oregon (June 21 at the World Trade Center
Portland), and Los Angeles, California (September 27 at The Ford), where
she’ll perform selections spanning her stage, screen, and recording
career.
Goldsberry's Broadway credits also include Rent, The Color Purple, and The Lion King. On screen, she has starred in The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, The Good Wife, Waves, Altered Carbon, Albany Road, She-Hulk, Girls5eva, and One Life to Live. She made her TV debut as one of Vonda Shepard’s backup singers across all five seasons of Ally McBeal.

This summer, Hamilton will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Goldsberry's performance, and that of the original cast of Hamilton, can be streamed on Disney+.
