This month we're celebrating the piano. Continuing a summer tradition, Sing For Hope has brought back its free public pianos around New York City, including the Playbill piano located in Times Square at 44th Street. Our piano is designed to celebrate the joy of the Broadway community. And naturally, our list of piano-playing celebrities features many stars of stage and screen. Take a look!

Anthony Hopkins
Hopkins may be well known for his acting chops today, but he has played piano since childhood. He has composed and released music of his own, fulfilling a dream of his to be a professional musician.

Sean Hayes
In Hayes’ earlier career, he worked as a classical pianist. He also composed original music for a production of Antigone at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago.

Dakota Fanning
Fanning, who is known for her roles in Charlotte’s Web and The Twilight Saga, has played piano in numerous television appearances.

Simon Helberg
The Big Bang Theory’s Helberg played jazz piano throughout high school and still considers himself a well-versed pianist. He used his skills in the 2014 film We’ll Never Have Paris.

Channing Tatum
