A recent update to COVID-19 safety protocols on Broadway left a vaccine mandate for stage managers and actors in place, according to Actors' Equity, the union that represents actors and stage managers on professional stages on Broadway and beyond. This policy will remain in place through at least June 26.
The news comes on the heels of the lifting of the vaccine requirement for some Broadway audiences, though theatregoers are still required to wear masks when seeing Broadway shows through at least May 31.
Among the other changes to protocols: an increase in the amount of paid sick days available to union members who contract COVID-19.
