Off-Broadway's Transport Group's The Patsy officially opened at the Abrons Art Center April 10.

The solo show is a revival of the company's 2011 production of the Barry Conners play and reunites director Jack Cummings III with actor David Greenspan.

Following its 1925 Broadway premiere, The Patsy was adapted for the big screen in 1928, starring Marion Davis and Academy Award winner Marie Dressler. The show takes place in pre-depression America and is described as a "Cinderella story" that's filled with with familial and marital drama, love heists, and country club scandals.

The revival features the original scenic and costume design by Dane Laffrey, original lighting design by Mark Barton, original sound design by Michael Rasbury, and dramaturgy by Kristina Corcoran Williams. Theresa Flanagan returns as stage manager.

Obie Award winner Greenspan previously starred in Off-Broadway productions of Once Upon a Mattress, Punk Rock, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Boys in the Band.
