Tony and Emmy nominee Tovah Feldshuh will join Emmy and Golden Globe winner Ed Asner in the upcoming East Coast tour of Jeff Cohen's The Soap Myth. The nine-day engagement, commemorating International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27, 2019) and Yom HaShoah (May 1), will begin January 20 in Owing Mills, Maryland.

Both artists have appeared in the annual Pam Berlin-helmed concert readings before; last year, Asner took the stage as Milton Saltzman opposite Johanna Day. Feldshuh returns to play the dual roles of Esther Feinman and Brenda Goodsen.

The play, set over 50 years after World War II, explores the nature of survival and who has the right to write history—between those who live it, those who study it, and those who distort it. Cohen’s drama premiered Off-Broadway in 2012 in a Roundabout Theatre Company production featuring Greg Mullavey, Andi Potemkin, Dee Pelletier, and Donald Corren.
