International News The Play That Goes Wrong Comedy Troupe Mischief Returns to Edinburgh Fringe With 3 New Shows

The festival will see the return of the improv comedy group's Olivier-nominated Mischief Movie Night.

Improv comedy group Mischief has announced its return to Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Mischief Movie NightMind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle, and Charlie Russell Aims to Please.

Mischief Movie Night will run at Pleasance at EICC (Pentland Theatre) August 3-28. Audiences will give the troupe a genre, location, and title and watch as a live movie unfolds in front of them. The full cast for the Olivier-nominated show will be announced at a later date.

New show Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle, created by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, will run at Pleasance Courtyard (Beyond) August 3-28 while Charlie Russell Aims to Please, in which Charlie Russell attempts to make everyone happy, will run at Pleasance Courtyard (Below) August 3-27. Press performances for all three shows will be held on August 5.

Mischief's first month-long run at the Festival was in 2013 when they presented The Play That Goes Wrong, which has since won an Olivier and spawned productions in more than 30 countries, including current productions Off-Broadway and in London's West End. Founded in 2008 by LAMDA acting graduates, the comedy group has performed annually at Edinburgh Fringe sine 2009.
