News The Flea's Season Highlights Include a Live Action Zombie Game in the Streets of TriBeca Downtown Manhattan theatre The Flea has announced its 2015-16 season. Among highlights will be Jennifer Haley's Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom, a live action zombie game that will be played around the TriBeCa neighborhood and the rest of the city. A world premiere by Thomas Bradshaw (Intimacy) is also included on the bill.

Slated to begin performances Nov. 9, Haley's Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom examines a neighborhood's addiction to a new online game that allows teenagers to battle zombies in their own streets. The show premiered at the Humana Festival where it garnered critical acclaim. Press notes warn that the staging "includes violent situations." Haley's haunting sci-fi thriller The Nether also played Off-Broadway recently at the MCC Theater.

The Flea's season will officially kick off with Fulfillment by Thomas Bradshaw, helmed by The Best Man director Ethan McSweeny. The play, set to begin performances Sept. 11, explores the question of what makes us happy. The world premiere production features Otoja Abit, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Jeff Biehl, Christian Conn, Denny Dillon and Susannah Flood.

Bradshaw's premiere will be followed by another world premiere featuring the Flea's resident actors, The Bats: Student Body, by Frank Winters, directed by Michelle Tattenbaum. The story follows a group of students who meet one night as a storm approaches; friendships are tested and allegiances shift. Opening night is set for Oct. 11.

The new season will also feature Take Care, written by Todd Shalom and Niegel Smith, directed by artistic director Smith and set to begin performances in December. The participatory performance piece investigates ways we respond to danger. The company will also continue their Serials @ The Flea, monthly cycles of late-night play competition featuring The Bats.
