Robin de Jesús

Robin De Jesús has joined the cast of Hulu's upcoming Chippendales series Immigrant, which also features Broadway vets Andrew Rannells and Annaleigh Ashford as previously announced.

According to Variety, the Tony nominee will appear as the recurring character Ray Colon. He is described as a handyman and self-proclaimed jack of all trades who befriends Chippendales founder Somen “Steve” Banerjee.

Andrew Rannells

Jesús starred as Michael in Lin-Manuel Miranda's Netflix adaptation of Jonathan Larson's tick, tick... BOOM!, opposite Andrew Garfield. He reprised his onstage role as Emory in the Netflix adaptation of The Boys in the Band, and also starred in the 2003 cult movie-musical Camp.

Immigrant is a dark comedy that will tell the real-life story of Chippendales founder Somen Banerjee, played by Kumail Nanjiani.

Rannells plays a "rich kid" investor and the romantic interest for the male dance troupe's choreographer. Annaleigh Ashford will play Banerjee's wife, Irene.

Immigrant is created by Robert Siegel (Hulu's Pam & Tommy) and co-written by Nora Silver, Mehar Sethi (Netflix's Bojack Horseman), and Rajiv Joseph (Off-Broadway's Letters of Suresh).
