The monthly drawing is presented by Playbill.

Each month for a year Prudential is gifting free tickets to theatre fans from across the U.S. with the Prudential Standing Ovations Ticket Giveaway, presented by Playbill. For the chance to win, entrants are answering the question "Which Broadway character or song inspires you, and why?" in a short essay or video. Read a few of last month's most stirring responses below.

Entries for this month's contest will be accepted February 16-March 16.

Ari Afsar

Evelyn Zhang: "Eliza from Hamilton inspires women all over the world, including me. She controls her narrative, deciding when or when not to tell her truth. She had to face so many challenges and adversities but was able to get through it all with grace and dignity. She was able to forgive, which proves that her character is strong. I hope that I can live my life upholding the values that Eliza stood for."

Jackie Camborde: "I am incredibly inspired by all the characters in the show Come From Away, as well as the ability of the performers to take on multiple roles. I was lucky enough to see the show on Broadway with the original Broadway cast, and Jenn Colella as the pilot was one of the best performances I have ever seen. It's a wonderful, uplifting show everyone should see. We will be in NYC a few times over the next several months for auditions, and would love to win tickets to a show!"

Amanda Walker: "[Frozen's] Elsa, when she is hiding her powers, is who I most relate to. As a closeted young adult, I was hiding my LGBTQ identity from others, not because I was scared of it, but because I was scared of how it would harm those I love. Eventually I learned, as Elsa did, that being and sharing that part of myself with those I care for would only make my life and theirs more valuable."

Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada in Hadestown Matthew Murphy

Melissa Knapik: "Orpheus from Hadestown inspires me because he sees the good and beauty in everything and will go to the ends of the earth and beyond for the people that he loves."

Danielle Palazzolo: "The [Hamiltonsong 'Who Lives Who Dies Who Tells Your Story' inspires me because, as a historian, it is a reminder that historians really have value in society and that we can actually tell people's stories who would otherwise be lost to history."

Graham Farnham: "I an inspired by Cynthia Erivo's performance of 'I'm Here' [in The Color Purple]. The song embodies empowerment of someone who overcomes a lifetime of adversity to find self worth and love of oneself. The song is a tribute to all those who rise from years of degradation to find a light from within themselves that remains hidden for years and then finally finds a way to burn brightly. It is the ultimate song of hope and triumph."
