The Gilded Age season three premieres June 22 on HBO Max. Before that, the show's cast celebrated the series' setting with a premiere in New York City at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center.
The event included a screening of the first episode, a post-screening panel discussion with cast members Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, and many others. And then there was an after-party at Cipriani25. See photos from the event below.
Created by Julian Fellowes, the series takes place in turn-of-the-century New York and follows new money socialite Bertha Russell (played by Carrie Coon) as she navigates high society.
Season three, press notes state, takes place after the Opera War, with the old guard weakened and the Russells poised to take their place at the head of society. Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights while George (Spector) risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry—if it doesn’t ruin him first. Across the street, the Brook household is thrown into chaos as Agnes (Baranski) refuses to accept Ada’s (Nixon) new position as lady of the house. Meanwhile, Peggy (Benton) meets a handsome doctor (Donica) from Newport whose family is less than enthusiastic about her career.
Created, written, and executive-produced by Fellowes, the creative and producing team also includes writer and executive producer Sonja Warfield, executive producer Gareth Neame, executive producer David Crockett, director and executive producer Michael Engler, director and executive producer Salli Richardson-Whitfield, executive producer Bob Greenblatt, and historical consultant and co-executive producer Erica Dunbar.
Casting for the series is by Bernie Telsey and Adam Caldwell from the Telsey Office.
The Gilded Age airs Sundays on HBO Max, beginning June 22.
