News PHOTO CALL: There's No Stopping the Music of the Night! Phantom Celebrates 27 Years on Broadway The Phantom of the Opera celebrated an unprecedented 27 years on Broadway the evening of Jan. 31. The actual anniversary was Jan. 26 but the performance was canceled due to last week's snow storm.

The cast of Phantom stars Norm Lewis as the Phantom and Julia Udine as Christine with Jeremy Hays (Raoul), Laird Mackintosh (Monsieur André), Tim Jerome (Monsieur Firmin), Linda Balgord (Madame Giry), Michele McConnell (Carlotta), Christian Šebek (Piangi), Kara Klein (Meg Giry) and Kaley Ann Voorhees (Christine alternate).

The Phantom of the Opera is produced by Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group, has music by Lloyd Webber and is directed by Harold Prince. Lyrics are by Charles Hart (with additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe), and the book is by Stilgoe and Lloyd Webber.

It has production design by the late Maria Björnson, lighting by Andrew Bridge and sound design by Mick Potter with original sound by Martin Levan. Musical staging and choreography are by Gillian Lynne. Orchestrations are by David Cullen and Lloyd Webber.
