Neil Berg and Robert Schenkkan's musical The 12 releases a cast album May 9 via Center Stage Records and Yellow Sound Label. The release is now available on all streaming platforms.

The recording features the cast of the musical's 2023 staging at Goodspeed Musicals, directed by Tony winner John Doyle: Akron Lanier Watson (Hamilton) as Pete, Wonzaā Johnson (MJ The Musical) as Andrew, Wesley Taylor (SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical) as Tom, Etai Benson (Company, The Band’s Visit) as Jimmy, Gregory Treco (Hamilton) as Simon, Kyle Scatliffe (Hamilton, Les Misérables) as John, Kelvin Moon Loh (Beetlejuice The Musical, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical) as James, Mel Johnson Jr. (Kiss Me, Kate; Jekyll and Hyde) as Tee, Brandon J. Ellis (Bandstand) as Phil, Rob Morrison (Off-Broadway: Assassins) as Bart, F. Michael Haynie (Wicked, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as Matt, Adrienne Walker (The Lion King; Kiss Me, Kate) as Mags, and Rema Webb (Fat Ham) as Mother Mary.

The 12, which features a book and lyrics by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Schenkkan (The Kentucky CycleAll the Way) and music and lyrics by Berg (The Sabbath Girl), follows the death of the disciples' leader, spotlighting the 12 ordinary individuals as they come together to create one of the most powerful movements ever known in one of the most devastating moments.

The 18-track album is produced by Michael Croiter, Berg, and Schenkkan. Greg Jarrett is the music supervisor and orchestrator, and Adam Souza is music director.
