A reading of #DateMe: An OkCupid Experiment, which had a three-year run at Chicago's Up Comedy Theatre, is presented in Manhattan October 4.

Created by Robyn Lynne Norris and developed by Diane Alexander, #DateMe was written by Norris, Bob Ladewig, and Frank Caeti. The production features original songs with musical direction by Jonathan Mastro.

Lorin Latarro directs a cast that includes Andrew Chapelle, Brian Gonzales, Michael Hartney, Andy Lucien, J. Elaine Marcos, Marissa Rosen, and Megan Sikora.

Based on a true story, #DateMe concerns Robyn Lynne Norris (the show’s creator and writer), who is unlucky in love but determined to understand it better, so she logs on to OkCupid. Creating 38 “undateable” profiles as an interactive scientific investigation into online dating, Robyn unwittingly sets in motion the social experiment of our generation.

The production plans to open at an Off-Broadway theatre in the 2018–2019 season.

Producers are Elizabeth Williams and Diane Alexander with Remmel Dickinson, Benjamin Lowy, and Adrian Salpeter.
