The Pulitzer winner's play about two DREAMers in contemporary America is playing Berkeley Rep.

Sanctuary City begins its West Coast premiere at Berkeley Repertory Theatre July 8, with performances continuing through August 14. The production is presented in association with Arena Stage

Starring in the production are Hernán Angulo, María Victoria Martínez, and Kim Fischer, all 2022 graduates of the American Conservatory Theater MFA program.

Written by Pulitzer Prize winner Martyna Majok (Cost of Living), Sanctuary City tells the story of two DREAMers negotiating the promise of safety and the weight of responsibility in America. David Mendizábal (Notes on Killing Seven Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Board Members) directs the production.

The creative team also includes scenic and costume designer David Reynoso, lighting designer Cha See, sound designer Fan Zhang, and associate director Cara Hinh.
