Kevin Smith Kirkwood, recently seen as the Referee Angel in the Off-Broadway production of Kinky Boots, will return to Joe's Pub with Classic Whitney: The Season of Love Show February 7 at 9:30 PM.

Kirkwood will be joined by special guests Ashanti J’Aria (The Prom) as Cece Winans and Nick Drake (Kinky Boots) as Deborah Cox with the background vocals of Kerry Flanagan, John Lucas, and Natalie Randall. Ray DeMattis directs. Drew Wutke is the music director.

The artists will be backed by the five-piece Classic Whitney Live Band, which also includes Amy Griffiths, Jonathan Whitney, Matt Scharfglass, and Hajime Yoshida. 

In the upcoming show, the late Grammy winner Whitney Houston comes back to earth, reincarnated in the body of Kirkwood, to deliver a retrospective concert and celebration of some of her iconic live performances. 

The evening will also feature costume design by Martha Smith with wigs by Sabana Styles.

Kirkwood was also seen in the Broadway production of Kinky Boots and subsequently played the Scarecrow in Broadway at Sacramento Music Circus' The Wiz. On screen, Kirkwood appeared in The CW’s Katy Keene.
