Grosses Grosses Analysis: Hadestown Beats Own Record for 4th Week in a Row Ain't Too Proud also enjoyed an uptick in sales over the holiday weekend.

The most Tony-nominated show of the season, Hadestown, has beat its previous record at the Walter Kerr Theatre for the fourth consecutive week. The show played to over 100 percent capacity over Memorial Day Week, grossing $1,197,934 (beating last week’s number by $70,000).

Ain't Too Proud—The Life of the Temptations, which is close behind Hadestown with 12 Tony Award nominations, also saw an uptick in sales this past week. The musical reached its highest gross yet with $1,576,625—up over $100,000 from the previous week.

In the world of plays on Broadway, Heidi Schreck's Tony-nominated What the Constitution Means to Me enjoyed a modest boost in sales. The new play, in which the playwright and performer traces the impacts of the founding document on generations of Americans, grossed $524,798 (a difference of just over $35,000 from the previous week). The production continues to play to full houses at the Hayes, remaining just a few decimals shy of 100 percent capacity.
