The long-running, hit jukebox musical continues at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

Gianna Harris takes her first curtain call in & Juliet Rebecca J Michelson

Gianna Harris, part of the original Broadway cast of the Alicia Keys musical Hell's Kitchen, stepped into the title role of the hit jukebox musical & Juliet June 10 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

Harris, who was also seen on Broadway in School of Rock The Musical, succeeded Maya Boyd, who played her final performance June 8. Watch the new star take her first bow in the long-running musical in the gallery below.

The current Broadway cast of & Juliet also features Joey Fatone as Lance, Alison Luff as Anne, Drew Gehling as Shakespeare, Liam Pearce as Romeo, Michael Iván Carrier as May, Jeannette Bayardelle as Angélique, and Nathan Levy as François.

The company also includes Gabe Amato, Daniel Assetta, Reese Britts, Nicholas Cooper, Charli D’Amelio, Jhailyn Paige Farcon, Makai Hernandez, Joomin Hwang, Khailah Johnson, Elsa Keefe, Alaina Ví Maderal, Daniel J. Maldonado, Mackenzie Meadows, Alejandro MullerDahlberg, Joe Moeller, Cassie Silva, TJ Tapp, Darien Van Rensalier, and Romy Vuksan.

Producers previously announced that Cheryl Porter, the vocal coach known for her viral TikTok videos, will make her Broadway debut in & Juliet beginning August 7, playing a 13-week engagement as Angélique. Porter, known to millions as Mama Cheryl, voiced “The Circle of Life” in Italian for Disney’s 2019 The Lion King; she will succeed Tony nominee Bayardelle, who plays her final performance August 3.

Nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, & Juliet flips the script on the William Shakespeare classic, imagining what would happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo. Featuring a book by David West Read, the score includes a mix of tunes by Max Martin and more, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “I Want It That Way,” and “Confident.”

The production also has direction by Luke Sheppard, choreography by Jennifer Weber, musical supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Bill Sherman, scenic design by Soutra Gilmour, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Howard Hudson, sound design by Gareth Owen, video projection design by Andrzej Goulding, hair, wig, and makeup design by J. Jared Janas, and musical direction and additional orchestrations by Dominic Fallacaro.

U.S. casting is by Stephen Kopel and Carrie Gardner.

The international hit, which opened at the Sondheim November 17, 2022, was the first new musical of the 2022–2023 Broadway season to announce its recoupment.

Tickets for the long-running production are now on sale through February 8, 2026.
