Broadway alums Fra Fee and Jelani Alladin have joined the cast of Disney+’s upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast prequel. The series will be titled Little Town, a nod to Howard Ashman's lyric in the musical's opening number, "Belle."

As previously announced, Luke Evans (The Alienist) and The Book of Mormon Tony nominee Josh Gad will reprise their 2017 film roles as Gaston and LeFou (Louie), respectively, with Briana Middleton (The Tender Bar) as Louie's stepsister, Tilly.

Fee will play Prince Benoit Berlioz, a prince that the main trio encounter on their journey. The stage and screen performer was most recently seen in Disney+’s limited series Hawkeye and appeared in the Tony-winning The Ferryman on Broadway in 2018.

Alladin will play Jean-Michel, a witty and talented artist. The Disney on Broadway favorite played Kristoff in Frozen and the title role in the world premiere staging of Hercules

Developed, executive-produced, and written by Gad, Edward Kitsis, and Adam Horowitz, with each serving as a co-showrunner, the creative team for Little Town also includes Tony-nominated director Liesl Tommy (Eclipsed), who has come on board as an executive producer and will direct the first episode. The project will also feature an original soundtrack from EGOT-winning composer Alan Menken, who will also serve as executive producer. Lyrics for the first episode will be by Oscar nominee Glenn Slater (Tangled, Broadway's The Little Mermaid and Sister Act).
