The new season will kick off September 28 with the D.C. premiere Churchill's Love and Information. Directed by Michael Dove, the fast-moving kaleidoscopic play that features more than 100 characters will continue through October 21.
The U.S. premiere of Alexander Manuiloff's The State will follow, beginning November 1. A director will be announced at a later date.
The new year will launch April 1, 2018, with the D.C. premiere of Davis' Nat Turner in Jerusalem. The play imagines the final night in a Jerusalem, Virginia, jail cell for Nat Turner, who led a slave uprising in August 1831 that shocked the conscience of the nation. A director has yet to be named.
A final production, which will begin May 1, will be announced later in the season.
