International News Elliot Clay's Millennials Sets Run at London's The Other Palace

The work first premiered at MTFestUK and will showcase the frustrations of young people.

The new musical Millennials, written and composed by Elliot Clay, will run at The Other Palace July 8-August 7.

First premiering at MTFestUK, Millennials centers on the frustrations of young people in the modern world.

Millennials sets the tone for the type of work we want to create at The Other Palace," says The Other Palace artistic director Paul Taylor-Mills. "I’m excited to start creating this brand new musical with an incredible team.”

“After four years of writing, I couldn’t be more thrilled that Millennials is having its premiere at The Other Palace Studio this summer," adds Clay. Some of my favorite musicals growing up were song cycles, so it’s been an exciting challenge putting my own twist on the form and exploring a generation of stories through this collection of pop songs."

Clay's theatre credits include writing and starring in his debut musical The State of Things, and performing in productions of Million Dollar Quartet, Peter Pan, Oliver!, and The Wizard of OZ.

The work is produced by The Other Palace with a book, music and lyrics by Clay. The creative team includes direction by Hannah Benson, orchestration by Auburn Jam, choreography by Tinovimbanashe Sibanda, and lighting design from Andrew Exeter.

Currently playing at the venue is Heathers the Musical, which recently announced a filmed live recording.
