Oscar and Emmy nominee Danny DeVito completes the cast of Arthur Miller’s The Price, which will be seen next spring on Broadway. The actor, who will be making his Main Stem debut, joins the previously announced John Turturro, Tony Shalhoub and Jessica Hecht in the Roundabout Theatre Company revival.

As previously announced, Steppenwolf co-founder Terry Kinney will direct the drama, which is set to begin previews February 16, 2017, and officially open March 16 at the American Airlines Theatre. The limited engagement is scheduled to play through May 7.

The Price was last seen on Broadway in 1999 directed by James Naughton. The story follows the reunion of two estranged brothers who are brought together by their father’s death and the settling of his affairs.

DeVito will take on the role of the wily furniture dealer in Miller’s 1968 drama; he returns to the New York stage, where he began his career Off-Broadway. In addition to a long list of screen credits, he starred in a 2012 West End production of Neil Simon’s The Sunshine Boys alongside the late Richard Griffiths.

“When the Great Depression cost his family their fortune, Victor Franz gave up his dream of an education to support his father,” state RTC production notes. “Three decades later, Victor has returned to his childhood home to sell the remainder of his parents’ estate. His wife, his estranged brother, and the wily furniture dealer hired to appraise their possessions all arrive with their own agendas, forcing Victor to confront a question, long‐stifled, about the value of his sacrifice.”

Turturro will play Victor Franz, Hecht will play his wife Esther Franz, and Shalhoub will play the estranged brother Walter Franz.

The creative team will also include Derek McLane (sets), Sarah J. Holden (costumes), David Weiner (lights) and Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen (sound).

The Price will go on public sale September 12. Ticket prices range from $57-$142. Visit roundabouttheatre.org or call (212) 719‐1300 for tickets or more information.
