The nominations for the 2020 Off Broadway Alliance Awards have been unveiled, recognizing productions across seven competitive categories, including Best New Play, Best Play Revival, Best New Musical, and Best Unique Theatrical Experience. Due to restrictions from the COVID-19 crisis, the winners will be announced May 19, and the celebration has been postponed to the fall.

Streaming live on Facebook, the winners will be revealed at 11 AM ET May 19. More details on an official reception to come.

READ: How Theatre Award Ceremonies Are Handling the Coronavirus Shutdown

In addition to the competitive awards, Legend of Off Broadway Awards will be presented to Gretchen Cryer, Woodie King, Jr., Eric Krebs, and Barbara Zinn Krieger; Mark Blum, Wynn Handman, and Julia Miles will be posthumously honored with induction into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame; and the Friend of Off Broadway Award will be presented to The Drama Bookshop for its continued dedication to Off Broadway.

Check out the list of competitive categories below. The winners will be selected by the members of the awards committee of the Off Broadway Alliance, which includes producers, theatres, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals.
