Playbill Pride Celebrate Pride With Playbill’s Iconic LGBTQ Moments in Theatre You Should Know

Join Eric Ulloa and four other LGBTQ Broadway stars in this first episode of the weekly series.

For this year's Pride, Playbill has teamed up with actor and writer Eric Ulloa (On Your Feet!) to bring Iconic LGBTQ Moments in Theatre You Should Know, a series hosted by four LGBTQ+ Broadway stars and series writer Ulloa.

Join Ulloa—and a surprise guest—in the first episode and learn about the first openly gay play (hint: it's not The Boys in the Band) in the series' first entry above.

“I wanted to invite celebrated members of our queer theatrical community as hosts to deliver these iconic and historical moments,” shares Ulloa of the project, which originally began via Ulloa's personal Instagram stories. “I wanted to remind our community of not only our gorgeous diversity but of how empowered you feel when you know you stand on strong shoulders, the shoulders of those who paved the path we walk on today. And through the team at Playbill and Roberto Araujo, we did just that."

Further episodes of Iconic LGBTQ Moments in Theatre You Should Know will release every Wednesday in June.
