News Broadway Stars Set for Free NYC Concert Spotlighting Lyrics of Jill Abramovitz Lisa Howard, Alex Gemignani, Jessica Vosk will be among the performers.

Broadway’s Future Songbook Series—presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul—will continue March 28 in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

Produced and hosted by John Znidarsic, the evening will spotlight the songs of award-winning lyricist Jill Abramovitz, a contributing lyricist on Broadway’s It Shoulda Been You (composer, Barbara Anselmi). Show time for the free event is 6 PM.

Laura Pietropinto will direct with musical direction by Aron Accurso. Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf will be featured on cello. Performers will include Lisa Howard, Alex Gemignani, Arielle Jacobs, Jessica Vosk, Kate Wetherhead, Kevin Pariseau, Dana Steingold, F. Michael Haynie and Michael Winther.

The evening will feature the music of Brad Alexander, Joy Son, Aron Accurso and Anselmi.

Abramovitz is the lyricist/co-bookwriter of The Dogs of Pripyat (composer, Aron Accurso; co-book writer, Leah Napolin, based on the play by Napolin), which garnered the Weston Playhouse New Musical Award, the Jerry Bock Award, was a NAMT selectee and was part of Goodspeed’s Festival of New Artists. She is also the lyricist of TheatreworksUSA’s Martha Speaks (book by Kevin DelAguila, music by Brad Alexander) and the lyricist/book writer for Bread and Roses (music by Brad Alexander, based on the film).

The Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center is located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street in Manhattan.
