Regional News Berkeley Repertory Theatre Reveals Cast For West Coast Premiere of Sanctuary City

Written by Pulitzer winner Martyna Majok, the play follows two DREAMers in contemporary America.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced the cast for the upcoming west coast premiere of Sanctuary City, beginning performances July 8 and running through August 14.

Written by Pulitzer Prize winner Martyna Majok (Cost of Living) and directed by David Mendizábal (Notes on Killing Seven Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Board Members), the production will star Hernán Angulo, María Victoria Martínez, and Kim Fischer.

Sanctuary City tells the story of two DREAMers negotiating the promise of safety and the weight of responsibility in America.

The creative team will include scenic and costume designer David Reynoso, lighting designer Cha See, sound designer Fan Zhang, and associate director Cara Hinh. Sanctuary City is presented in association with Arena Stage.
