American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University has announced two more titles for its 2022–2023 season: Anna Deavere Smith's Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 and Zadie Smith's The Wife of Willesden. The two productions join the previously announced North American premiere of the stage adaptation of Life of Pi.

A new, five-person version of Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, conceived, written, and revised by the playwright, will run August 28–September 23. Taibi Magar is set to direct the docudrama about the civil unrest following the acquittal of the police officers who beat Rodney King.

The Kiln Theatre production of The Wife of Willesden, Zadie Smith's modern-day adaptation of Geoffrey Chaucer's "The Wife of Bath" from The Canterbury Tales, will run February 25–March 18, 2023. Indhu Rubasingham, artistic director of Kiln, helms the production.

The Broadway-bound revival of 1776 is currently playing A.R.T. through July 24 before the Roundabout co-production heads to Broadway's American Airlines Theatre for previews beginning September 16.

Additional A.R.T. programming, including one play for the spring season, is still to be announced.
