Off-Broadway News A Jewish Woman Time Travels to Stop Jared Kushner in Stephanie Swirsky's Don't Do This to Us!, Beginning August 12

The play about rising anti-Semitism in the United States makes its world premiere at The Tank.

Stephanie Swirsky's Don’t Do This To Us! begins its world premiere run at The Tank August 12. The production, co-produced by Swirsky, is directed by Tasha Gordon-Solmon (The Karpovsky Variation) with a run set to continue through August 28.

A Jewish woman named Rachel grapples with growing anti-Semitism in the United States and across the globe. To cope, she blames Jared Kushner, husband of Ivanka Trump, for embodying the worst Jewish stereotypes on the public stage, and she devises a plan to travel back to 1999 to prevent him from ever ascending to public life. Things, quickly, go off the rails.

Rivka Borek (The Karpovsky Variation) stars as Ravit, with Grant Harrison (The Tick) as Jared Kushner, Chanel Karimkhani (The Hello Girls) as Jodi, Mara Kassin (Grandma's Not a Toaster) as Rachel, Lilli Stein (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Shira, and Alex Trow (Straight) as Elisheva.

The creative team features scenic designer Ant Ma, costume designer Stefanie Genda, lighting designer Ebony M. Burton, and sound designer Hannah Birch Carl. Julie Cai is production stage manager.
