Broadway's revival of The Music Man, which received six 2022 Tony nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical, has announced an open call for child male dancers between the ages of 7 and 12 years old.

An in-person open call will begin at 2:30 PM May 13 at Pearl Studios in New York City. Exceptional technical dancers under 4'8" with singing talent are encouraged to audition. Rehearsals for the show begin May 23.

Starring in the revival are Tony winners Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster as Harold Hill and Marian Paroo, respectively. Both have also received 2022 Tony nominations for their performances. The production stars fellow Tony winners Shuler Hensley as Marcellus Washburn, Jefferson Mays as Mayor Shinn, the 2022 Tony-nominated Jayne Houdyshell as Mrs. Shinn, and Marie Mullen as Mrs. Paroo.

The Music Man, which features a book, music, and lyrics by Meredith Willson, tells the story of what happens when con artist Harold Hill arrives in River City and falls in love with the straight-laced librarian, Marian.

Jerry Zaks directs the new production, which also features choreography by Warren Carlyle, sets and costumes by Santo Loquasto, sound design by Scott Lehrer, lighting by Brian MacDevitt, vocal and dance arrangements by David Chase, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, and music direction by Patrick Vaccariello. Carlyle and Loquasto have both received 2022 Tony nominations for their work.
